Argentine coach Lionel Scaloni has thanked fans from Bangladesh ahead of Round of 16 clash against Australia in FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 match in Doha, Qatar.
Scaloni, speaking ahead of the knockout match spoke high of fans around the world supporting Argentina and gave special mention to Bangladeshi fans. ‘Its love for the game. First it was Diego (Maradona), and now it is Messi (Lionel). What the national team shirt transmits is crazy. It makes us proud that people in Bangladesh is supporting Argentina like that.Thank you Bangladesh,’ he said.
Scaloni said they were aware of what Australia has to offer. ‘The game is going to be difficult, not because they are an Asian team, but because they play good football. It’s all or nothing now so I hope we do well. They had good results in qualifiers. They have been playing well. So we are aware of them,’ he added.
Scaloni said they are yet to finalize their starting eleven for the match. ‘We know how we are going to play. Now its about the players. We still have a training session to go, we will see how players are. Then we will decide who will play,’ he ended.
