Kathmandu - Substitute forward Manish Dangi scored five minutes from time as Nepal defeated hosts Maldives 1-0 in the first match of SAFF Championship 2021 in Maldives on Saturday. Manish, who entered the field as a substitue, scored the decisive goal with 5 minutes left in the game. Kathmandu : The second friendly football match held between Nepal and Bangladesh women's national football teams ended in a goalless draw on Sunday. The hosts failed to capitalize their chances in the first half in the Dasarath Stadium. Bangladesh were rigid on defense and saw only their second draw against Nepal in seven meetings. In the first friendly match, Nepal had bagged a 2-1 victory against visiting Bangladesh. The two matches were organized as part of the preparation for the upcoming AFC Women's Asian Cup qualifiers. Nepal is in Group F of the qualifiers along with Philippines and Hong Kong. Nepal will face Philippines on September 18 and Hong Kong on September 21. The qualifiers will be played in Uzbekistan.
