Anjan’s winner guides Lalitpur to qualifiers

Skipper Anjan Bista's winner was enough to guide Lalitpur City FC to the second qualifier of Nepal Super League. Lalitpur defeated Butwal Lumbini FC by 1-0 in the eliminator match at Dasarath Stadium on Wednesday. Lalitpur continued their resurgence under caretaker coach Raju Tamang as they registered third consecutive victory. Lalitpur sacked their Head Coach Pradip Humagai after securing just 3 points in first four matches. Tamang made it 3 on 3 after beating Butwal twice in space of a week. Dhangadhi reach atop, Biratnagar holds Butwal

Dhangadhi Football Club moved to the top of the Nepal Super League points table after beating Football Club Chitwan by 3-0 at the Dasarath Stadium on Saturday. After a dismal first half where Chitwan dominated the game up front, Dhangadhi set up an excellent counterattack in the second half. Ranjan Bista scored late on in the second half off the bench as Lalitpur City Football Club held Dhangadhi Football Club to a 1-1 draw at Dasarath Stadium on Thursday. Nigerian Forward Olawale Afeez scored a brace as Dhangadhi Football Club registered first win in the ongoing Nepal Super League (NSL) on Tuesday. Kathmandu RayZRs could not continue their winning streak as they went down 3-0 against Dhangadhi at Dasarath Stadium. Tanka Basnet scored the opener for Dhangadhi in the 19th minute. Dinamo Zagreb manager sentenced to jail

Zoran Mamic has been sentenced to four years and eight months in prison for fraud. Zagreb are due to play Tottenham Hostpurs in Europa League last 16 tie onThursday. Mamic has already resigned as well. “Although I don’t feel guilty, I resign as I said before I would do if the sentence was confirmed. I wish all the good luck to the club,” Mamic as said. He was sentenced to jail by Croatian Supreme court on Monday. Dinamo said the new coach would be former Dinamo player Damir Krznar. DamirVrbanovic, the former director of Dinamo, was also sentenced to three years in prison by the court.
