Nepal to take part in the Street Child Football World Cup

Kathmandu (Hamro Khelkud) - Nepal has confirmed their participation in the 'Street Child World Cup - 2018: Future depends on you' to be held in Russia next year. The tournament, which has been organised for the street and the helpless children, will be held a month earlier than the FIFA World Cup from 18th to the 27th of May. The Street Child World Cup is organised by Child United. Shelter Ashraya Nepal, who have worked for the orphan, helpless and street children in Nepal for last five years, confirmed Nepal's participation in the tournament amid a Press Conference on Monday. The tournament will consist of 12 teams each in boys and girls categories from 22 nations. Nepal will take part only in the boys' category. Boudhha Youth Club of Beni Municipality Ward no. 7, Mangalaghat will be organising the tournament in the Khula Manch ground from 17th to 21st of July. During the press conference held on Sunday, the club announced that the winning team will receive a cash prize of one hundred and twenty-five thousand Rupees. While declaring the budget for the upcoming 15th edition, Sahara Club informed about the total savings of 2 lakhs 78 thousand Rupees. Sahara Club has also been running the Sahara Academy in Pokhara. Suryabinayak (Hamro Khelkud) - With the intention of conducting training and running a football academy, A-Division club Sankata has received land on lease in Ward no. 10 of Suryabinayak, Bhaktapur. Suryabinayak Municipality Ward No. 10 today agreed to provide the club with 31 Ropani of land in Salpaphant for 15 years. According to Sankata, they will build a football ground in the land. The agreement mentions that Sankata has to pay Twenty-seven thousand rupees to the land owners per Ropani each year. The property is currently owned by 9 people.
