Nepal concludes fourth in a championship participated by four nations

By a Staff Reporter Nepal remained winless in the CAVA U23 Men's Volleyball Championship that concluded today at Shaheed Suhrawardi Indoor Stadium in Dhaka. Sri Lanka sidelined Nepal 3-2 to secure third position as Nepal concludes fourth in a championship participated by four nations. Nepal marked a good start to the match beating Sri Lanka by 25-22 in a first set. Sri Lanka then defeated Nepal by 19-25 each in second and third set respectively. Nepal won the fourth set by 25-20 to level the match. Sri Lanka outplayed Nepal by 10-15 in the decisive final set. Bangladesh defeated Kyrgyzstan later in the evening to keep the trophy home. By a Staff Reporter The Nepal National Volleyball team recorded its third consecutive defeat in the CAVA U23 Men's Volleyball Championship at Shaheed Suhrawardi Indoor Stadium in Dhaka. Kyrgyzstan defeated Nepal in a set of 3-2 in the final group-stage match. Nepal lost the first set by 16-25. However, Nepal managed to come back into the game registering a 25-23 victory in the second set. Nepal, who lost the third set by 17-25, won the fourth by 25-19. Nepal suffered emphatically 6-15 in the decisive last set. Earlier, Nepal lost to the hosts Bangladesh and Sri Lanka in a straight set of 3-0. By a Staff Reporter The Nepal Volleyball team suffered its second consecutive defeat in the CAVA U23 Men's Volleyball Championship. Nepal went down to Sri Lanka in a straight set of 3-0 at Shaheed Suhrawardi Indoor Stadium in Dhaka. Nepal managed to give a tough fight in the first set. However, Sri Lanka overcame Nepal 24-26. Sri Lanka dominated Nepal in the second set and registered a victory of 18-25. Sri Lanka continued its momentum and defeated Nepal 17-25 in the third set to record a clean-sheet victory.
