Nepal advances to final defeating mighty India

By a Staff Reporter Nepal defeated India 3-1 in a last round-robin match to advance to the final of the ongoing SAFF U20 Women's Championship in Bangladesh. Nepal, who were trailing by a goal before going into the break, came back strong with three goals from Anjali Chand, Preeti Rai, and Amisha Karki. India's only goal was scored by Apurna Narzari in the 21st minute. Anjali Chand equalized the match just three minutes after the interval. Skipper Preeti Rai then made no mistake from the spot in the 69th minute to give Nepal a lead. Amisha Karki sealed the victory for Nepal with her fourth goal of the tournament in the 89th minute.
