Gen Next signs Skipper Rohit as Brand Ambassador

By a Staff Reporter

Kathmandu – Gen Next Consulting Group, a newly established company specializing in counseling services for students planning to study in Australia, New Zealand, USA, UK, and Canada, has announced the appointment of Rohit Paudel, the Skipper of Nepal’s National Cricket Team, as their Brand Ambassador.

The founder and Chief Executive Officer of Gen Next, Mohammad Aslam, along with Rohit, formalized the agreement on Monday. The contract, which commences on June 1, 2023, will be valid for a year. None of the parties unveiled the monetary deal.

Under the terms of the agreement, Rohit will promote Gen Next through his social media platforms. In addition, he will participate in education fairs where Gen Next is involved. The decision to appoint Rohit as the brand ambassador was influenced by his outstanding performance and leadership skills showcased during Nepal’s matches against the UAE and Papua New Guinea.

During the program, Aslam expressed his excitement about the collaboration, stating, “As a newly established company, we were eager to be associated with Nepali cricket. After closely observing Rohit’s performance and leadership, we were impressed and decided to make him our brand ambassador. We consider this as our responsibility to support and contribute to Nepali cricket.”

Rohit, equally delighted about the partnership, emphasized the significance of such agreements, especially ahead of important tournaments like the World Cup Qualifiers and the Asia Cup. He shed light on the financial struggles faced by cricket players, explaining that apart from their monthly salaries, they receive cash rewards only when they win titles.

“Apart from the monthly salary, the players only get cash honors when they win the title. However, winning every title in professional cricket is challenging, particularly as players progress to higher levels. Therefore, such contracts serve as a major motivation for players. Such association with the company will encourage other cricketers and athletes from various sports to explore similar opportunities in the market.” said Rohit.
