AGENCY – World sports giant China’s National Games is sponsored by sportswear brand Kelme. The 14th edition of the Chinese National Games, which opened in Shaanxi on Wednesday, will run for 12 days.
The competition includes 501 events of 41 games. China has not sent its team to various international championships because of its national games. Chinese players will not participate in this month’s Asian Table Tennis Championships.
The organizing body of the National Games had signed an agreement with Kelme as a sponsor for the games a year ago. Kelme has been expanding its market in world sports lately. Entering Nepal with the sponsorship of the national football team, Kelme has now sponsored the national team of Karate and Taekwondo along with the three departmental teams of Nepal.
Kelme has also sponsored teams including Watford in the English Premier League and Alaves and Espanyol in the Spanish League. Just last month, Kelme signed an agreement with the Asian Football Confederation until 2024.
