Madesh Province has announced the Women’s Cricket Team under the captaincy of medium pace bowler Kabita Gautam for the women’s cricket tournament belonging to the 9th National Games.
Gautam, who was forced to step away from cricket for almost a year and a half due to an injury is set to mark her comeback in the 9th National Games. Gautam got her leg injured during Lalitpur Mayors T20 Championship in April 2021 while playing against Far Western at TU Cricket Ground.
Juvenile all-rounder Pushpa Phuyal has made it to the squad for the first time. Madhesh’s team includes young players like Sana Prabin, Anuradha Chaudhary, and Saraswati Chaudhary.
The 9th Nationals Games is scheduled to be held in Pokhara from 14 to 20 October. Women’s Cricket will take place at Pokhara Cricket Ground.
