Kathmandu – Manaslu World College has felicitated para taekwondo player Palesha Gobardhan for the exceptional performance in international matches.
The college also felicitated other three individuals for their contribution to different sectors. They were honoured during a programme organized by the college at Nepal Academy Hall, Kamaladi on Thursday.
Gobardhan had won two matches in Tokyo Paralympics for a historic win. She had also won gold in the Asian Paralympic Youth Games held in Bahrain. She is also the bronze medalist of the Fourth Asian Para Taekwondo Championship held in Vietnam.
Health Minister Birodh Khatiwada and chairman of the college Gendra Lama felicitated Gobardhan during the programme. Other individuals to be honoured during the programme include educationist Karna Bahadur Shahi, senior journalist Jeevram Bhandari and singer as well as social activist Dhiraj Rai.
