Sandeep Lamichhane to play in Jamaican league

Kathmandu – Nepal’s national cricket team captain Sandeep Lamichhane is all set to play in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2022 representing Jamaica Tallawahs.

Jamaica has unveiled the names of foreign players for the league. Besides, Lamichhane, Pakistan’s Imad Wasim, Mohammad Aamir and Australian Chris Green and South Africa’s Miguel Pritorious will also be playing the CPL.

The CPL will be held from August 31 to September 30. Lamichhane has already played 22 matches in Jamaica, Barbados and Saint Kits and Nevis between 2018 and 2020 taking 37 wickets. He had performed exceptionally well in Jamaica in the 2020 edition.

During the 2020 season, Lamichhane had taken 12 wickets in 11 matches.

Lamichhane on Tuesday signed an agreement with Dambulla Giants to play the Sri Lankan Premier League (SPL) for a fee of Rs 5 million.
